Who Got That Merch On The Low?

Handing someone a button with your logo on it, that they proceed to wear for the rest of an event is a vibe.

Thanks to the wonderful folk at Sticker Mule (this link is my affiliate signup link), I am able to get small items and good prices. So far I’m a big fan of their button pins and their sticker quality.

Each week they got a new special and using this I’ve built up a small inventory.

Stuff that I’ll be putting on my site once I’m back from Puerto Rico.

When you want people to remember you, make some merch.

When you have something to sell, people will buy it

There have been a few events that I went to where merch sales took the night from an L to a little profit.

Selling a couple of hoodies, or even a few buttons, gives you a little bit more for your effort. I see a lot of my peers whining about their lack of income from ticket sales, while not creating new revenue streams. You can think of merch like selling drugs, a great way to supplement income in your life (from what I’ve heard, I don’t sell drugs).

Either way, on a 50$ investment you can walk in with a bunch of buttons you sell at 3-5$ each.

Flip that 50$ into 100$ and reup.

It actually is pretty easy to get started

Let’s say you didn’t pay your cartoon drawing friend money to make you a pickle, what do you do for a design?

Well frankly you should save up some money and pay for one. If you don’t want to pay for one, I suppose you can flirt with someone who thinks you're cute and get some free logo work. The point is, if you can’t do it, go find someone who can.

Get a creative person, passionate about merch and symbols and get them to think for you.

Then take out your purse strings and produce the magic.

Do some research and figure out what items you can make that stand out

Locally I’m the first of my immediate peer group to walk in with the custom shoes.

I got the pickle fanny pack. Literally just now I ordered a pickle branded Bluetooth speaker. Who knows if it’s any good, but it’s got my pickles on it.

End of the day, throw some shit at the wall and see what sticks. Be brave and be creative. Take some risks and spend a little more on merch and a little less on other stuff.

Seeing people wearing your logo on their boobs is a vibe.
