‘Tis The Weekend Before Vacation: Time To Prepare

It was made clear to me that checking in luggage and wasting an hour or more waiting for it would not be a good use of the boys trip to Puerto Rico.

I got my carry on and backpack and over the next 2 days will fill it with all the fun items I need to bring. For the first time in my travel history that 100 ml limit for bringing liquids on the plane is going to matter. There’s limited space, but it’s also July in the Caribbean.

Over the next two days I’m trying to fit in all my shopping, keep up with the writing and make that Uber money.

Sleep deprived as I am, the days before vacation are the final push to make sure stuff is good to go when I’m gone.

Turns out I don’t need that much stuff for a short Puerto Rico trip

Since I’m on my minimalism tip for this trip, I had to really think about what I needed.

Sunscreen. I definitely need that. Otherwise a couple of basics like a battery pack and some travel sized toiletries. The rest of it is basically just clothes and some other stuff like my laptop.

Since it’s going to be over 30 degrees the entire week, I think I can mostly get away with shorts.

I’ll only bring a couple of pairs of shoes this time… LOL

You can always buy stuff once you get there

There’s no real need to bring a towel.

The Airbnb will have towels for the showers. Then we can just go cop some beach towels while we are there. I can’t bring my razer either, so that will end up being an item I purchase there. We’re renting a whip, getting last minute stuff will be very doable.

High key, I’m actually excited to go basic supply shopping in Puerto Rico… it’s still the USA.

They got all the American shit, plus more.I can’t wait to see the candy aisle (and this is why my weight fluctuates).

Soon the shopping will be done and the bags will be packed

Once the bags are packed and the travelling is done I get to see the ocean.

I know this article went left field but my excitement for the upcoming trip has made the tedium of prep work less fun. I’m about to head out and get some last minute stuff for the vacation and pack the bags. Turns out I need new ear buds (I got Raycons).

Between cycling and the car it’s been a long time since I relied on headphones of any kind.

It’s a blessed place to be in life to be getting ready for a vacation and I’m wildly grateful.

It’s been no days off since November. Hell we’ll be making content on this trip, so is it really time off?
