Opening for Lloyd Banks Pt. 2: Montreal Pulled Up

Le Belmont was packed with people, from our view on stage we couldn’t see the back.

Throughout the night I thought of the dude who brought his two vinyl copies of Lloyd Banks albums. This guy had to navigate the very full venue, with full on records, and get through the night without them getting damaged. That dude put in work to get his autographs.

I can only speak for myself, but I had a great night.

People vibed to our set and after the fact there was plenty of good feedback.

This was another notch in the belt of hustling to greatness.

CY pulled up in a limo

With style and timing, a limo pulls up.

While some people may have questioned if this was the Lloyd Banks posse, I knew in my soul it was the SouthWest Music Group. They popped out and stunted. Then the night moved on.

Personally I felt like I won a trivia question.

According to my accountant, if they did not pay cash, that is in fact a valid tax writeoff.

Pulling up in style is a legitimate way to spend money as an artist in the eyes of the tax people.

The crowd was full and real supportive

Seeing so many people reacting to your performance is exciting.

There was one dude who refused to cheer no matter what I said. But in my efforts to try to make him cheer, other people turned up harder. Go for gold in life and even your misses will net positive results.

People stayed inside for the openers (the rain helped) and it felt like a lot of love was in the room.

Everyone did their thing and it really made me see how much quality we bring as openers to these shows.

Needless to say I think we did well.

We created a spectacle that the people will remember

You know you did your job right when DJ Blaster runs a song back, like how we did for our last song Blues Clues.

JS opened the set with a small segment of Put It On My Back. This cut immediately to When The Night Dies where Chris and I did our thing. Then we brought up a nice lady from the crowd, we did not know who that person would be ahead of time, and she received a lapdance from the lovely Madame Shei as JS and KDIITimes serenaded them.

Then Blaster ran our shit back as we tried to close off our set with Blues Clues.

I jumped into the crowd, people seemed to vibe, we turned up.

For once I don’t have footage of the set and I just have to wait, but I will say, we kept that under our 15 minute time limit and packed it full of punch.

The love we got has me hella hyped for the next one.

A big thanks to everyone who made this happen

A few months back #JSNOREGARD hit us up and made this show happen, he dealt with the promoters and managed it all, this would not have happened without him.

We got wild love for the audience who pulled up and showed that we can pack a venue for once. Promoters be watching our footage, we need to keep coming out like this. Thanks to DJ Blaster for holding us down as he does with his DJ work.

A big thanks to the promoters for giving us the opportunity to perform later on the card, that was a beautiful blessing.

A big thanks to all the partners of the artists who have to put up with all the weirdo shit we deal with pursuing art, thanks Bonnie.

Until the next time.
